Fabric & Notions You'll Need
Fabric: 3 m (118.1 in) of lightweight woven fabric, preferably tricoline, poplin, viscose, or similar lightweight woven fabric
• Cuff elastic: 50 cm (19.7 in)
• Waist tie sash: 2.35 m (92.5 in)
• Buttons: 12
Light weight, breathable fabrics are ideal for this design as they are able to retain the gathers at the neck and the cuffs without becoming bulky.

Construction Tips
Cut the front, back and facing pieces first, allowing for seam allowance.
3. For the neckline, fasten the facing before fastening it, so that it will not stretch.
4. Gather caps or cuffs evenly first before putting on the bodice — this is the reason for the signature puff of sleeves.
5. Place the button placket down front prior to sewing side seams.
Hitch the waist tie through the openings in the side seams or belt loops.

Final Thoughts
The Puffed sleeve shirt dress is a great project for anyone who's wanting to add a bit more to their handmade wardrobe. Structured tailoring coupled with soft, romantic sleeves makes it versatile enough for brunch dates to office days.

Happy sewing!
